A European transportation company will begin offering London-to-Toronto bus service on Thursday.
FlixBus says it offers “low fares and modern amenities on intercity buses.”
It will have daily service between the two cities, with a stop in Hamilton, launching just in time for Canada Day travel.
“The addition of London and Hamilton destinations constitute a new line from Toronto offering daily service to McMaster University and Western University,” the company said in a statement Monday.
Buses will leave London at 2:30 p.m., stop in Hamilton at 4:15 p.m., and arrive in Toronto by 5:10 p.m., the company said.
Buses will leave Toronto at 11:15 a.m., stop in Hamilton at 12:05 p.m. and arrive in London by 1:50 p.m., the company added.
FlixBus calls itself “Europe's largest long-distance bus network” and also has operations in Canada, the United States and Brazil.
The company started a pilot project for all-electric long-distance buses in 2018 and last year launched Europe's first biogas-powered long-distance buses.
In Southwestern Ontario, its routes will be operated by partner bus line Skyway Coach Lanes.
